The SAA Awards is a recurring academic event organized by the Department of Architecture at Parahyangan Catholic University and has been held every semester since 2003. The event aims to recognize outstanding design works produced by students participating in the SAA (Studio Akhir Arsitektur). In addition to awarding excellence, the program serves as a forum for critique, feedback, and systematic evaluation of students’ architectural design quality, particularly within the final studio stage. The event is supported by the national professional body, the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI), as an effort to strengthen and sustain the relationship between architectural education and professional practice.
This event is sponsored by profession association, that is IAI (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia) to maintain the continuity between academic world and the professional world.
We hope that the SAA Awards will not merely serve as an academic event, but also as a platform where the spirit of learning, creativity, and design excellence of architecture students at Parahyangan Catholic University can be tested, celebrated, and appreciated.
The SAA Awards are established to recognize and appreciate the creativity, innovation, and academic achievements of final-year architecture students. Through the SAA Awards, we believe many architects will emerge who will bring pride to UNPAR, and this tradition will continue to grow. I hope the SAA Awards will keep innovating and showcasing the best of our students.
As the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Parahyangan Catholic University, I fully support the 46th SAA Awards as an important platform for showcasing the creative and innovative works of Architecture students. This event not only highlights young talents but also serves as a significant step in their journey toward professionalism, especially with the Architecture Professional Program at UNPAR now available to equip students with the necessary competencies for the industry.

As a program, SAA Awards has long been a cornerstone of our department’s design culture, drawing participation from leading architectural practitioners from around the world to recognize and engage with the inspiring works of our final studio cohort.
Through SAA Awards, we would like to show designs and ideas from the Student Final Project (SAA) at Architecture Department, Parahyangan Catholic University. The intention is to show professional qualities from the students and open ourselves for commentaries and critics, from fellow architects, academicians, students, or colleagues. The award itself pushes students to their competitive nature, to give their best to their abilities.
SAA Awards stands as more than a celebration of achievement, it represents the vital bridge between the academic world of architecture and the realities of professional practice. To win is not simply to present an aesthetically compelling design, but to demonstrate clarity of thought, contextual awareness, and the ability to transform innovation into meaningful impact.
